SUNAOFE × OHHH! CONTEST — 2025

The Power Is Your Color.

7 chairs. 7 colors. 7 reasons to create. The contest that started it all.

CLOSED

Skip The Agency. Own The Story.

Where Briefs Become Culture.

Founded in 2008, HBADA has built  a global reputation for one thing — making ergonomic furniture that actually supports how humans live. Not just how they sit. How they think, create, and recover.Comfort with intention. Design with purpose.

THE BRIEF

Three chairs. Three states of being. We asked filmmakers to live inside one.

01

Sit Well, Stay Sharp

A cinematic ad spec. Wes Anderson symmetry. No voiceover. Just music, movement, match cuts — and the chair as the undeniable star of every frame.16:9 — 45 to 90 seconds

02

Sit Well, Give Back

Four challenges. Four ways to give the second chair away. A documentary. A street interview vlog. A photography contest. A customized gift.Every challenge ended the same way: the chair went to someone who deserved it.9:16 — inspired by Yes Theory

THE FORMAT

We didn't just ask for a video. We asked for something that had never been done.

HOW IT WAS JUDGED

Driver (50 pts)

Rock V-Notch Obstacles Steep Rock Climbs (>20°) Winch Recovery Continuous Step Obstacles Off-Camber Terrain

Videographer (50 pts)

Trailer-style execution Sound design Dash cam footage integration Camera ngles & movement Editing, grading, pacing100 points total. The winning team needed every one of them.

When we first met Mr. Lougang — the CEO — we knew immediately he was different.

A genuine leader. A warm human being. He invited our entire team to his home for dinner, and over the table he said something that stayed with us:"Why don't we feel the same warmth today that we used to feel in the '90s?"

hat question became this contest. We didn't ask filmmakers to make ads. We asked them to gather someone who mattered — a childhood friend, an old neighbor, a grandparent — and capture what that reunion actually feels like.
The product was just the reason to meet. The story was always human.

A vertical triptych.

9:16 — split into three horizontal panels, stacked. Three layers of story. Three angles of truth. One frame that forces you to think differently. Play with time. Sync and desync motion. Show the same scene from three perspectives. Or break the pattern entirely.

This was the challenge. Most rose to it.

DIRECTED BY HUMANS

Every submission was
a statement. Here are three that said it loudest

The brand told us this was one of the hardest judging decisions they had ever made. Every video was cinematic. Every submission raised the bar. That's what happens when real talent gets real access.

The contest ended.
The relationships didn't.

Sunaofe chose to work directly with Dirk — one of our shortlisted filmmakers — for a dedicated brand photoshoot. This is what we mean when we say a contest is just the beginning.
